Bruce Willis Moves to Care Home as Family Focuses on Love and Connection
Actor Bruce Willis, 70, who has been living with frontotemporal dementia, has recently moved into a specialized care facility located near his family.
His wife, Emma Heming Willis, 47, spoke candidly during an ABC special about the emotional weight of the decision. She described it as “one of the hardest decisions” she has ever faced, but emphasized that it was a choice Bruce himself would have wanted, especially for the sake of their daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
Emma highlighted the importance of ensuring Bruce is “surrounded by people who love him” while also prioritizing his safety, comfort, and dignity. She explained that this move allows the family to focus on creating joyful and meaningful moments together, giving the girls a chance to make lasting memories with their father despite the challenges of his condition.
“This was about more than care,” Emma added. “It’s about love, connection, and cherishing the time we have together as a family.”
